If you have ever bought a Uniden HomePatrol device, one of the steps you’ll need to do to set it up will be to install and use HomePatrol Sentinel. However, the process isn’t shown very well on the Uniden HomePatrol device websites. This article will explain how to complete this portion of the step. Advance to Step 1 below to begin.
Steps
1Download the ZIP folder from the Uniden server.
2Extract the folder to a corresponding new folder.Advertisement
3Open the folder that is presented inside this newly-extracted folder.
4Click the Setup Windows installer file.Click Run if you see a Security warning show up. The installation file isn’t verified. However, it is completely safe to run it, as there are no viruses or
malware, as it comes from Uniden’s direct server.
5Click the Next button once the installer opens. This first page just says that the installer program will try to help guide you through the installation step-by-step.
6Agree to the license agreement. Click the radio-checkbox to the left of “I Agree” and click “Next”

7Choose who you want to be able to use the Sentinel program on your computer. If your computer only has one user, you can choose either option “Everyone” or “Just me”. Click the Next button, after choosing, to continue installing the Sentinel program.
8Click the “Next” button to have the installer begin installing the program.
9Allow the User Account Control box from the unverified publisher.
10Click the Close button to close the installer, if the last page tells you that the software has installed successfully.Advertisement
