This wikiHow teaches you how to install Rules of Survival game on your Windows PC. Rules of Survival is a “Battle Royale” style developed by NetEase Games. The Windows version of the game is available for free from Rulesofsurvivalgame.com. If you prefer using Steam, you can opt to install the Steam version for US$2.99.

1Go to https://www.rulesofsurvivalgame.com. It’s free to download Rules of Survival from the game’s official website.
2Click the Windows Version link. It’s in the blue bar running along the right side of the page. This downloads a ZIP file containing the install files.If the download doesn’t start automatically, follow the on-screen instructions to save the file to the desired location.The file is a little bit over 4 GB so the download may take a while.
3Right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All. The name of the ZIP file begins with ros_publish and ends with .zip.Unless you’ve changed your preferences, the ZIP file should be located in a folder called Downloads.
4Click Extract on the window. This extracts the installation files from the ZIP and displays them in a folder.
5Double-click the EXE file to start the installation. It’s the file name that begins with ros_publish and ends with .exe.
6Follow the on-screen instructions to install Rules of Survival. Once you’ve accepted the license agreement and chosen your settings, the game will install. You can then launch the game by clicking Steam in the Windows Start menu. Method 2Method 2 of 2:Installing Steam Version
1Open Steam on your PC. You’ll find it in the Start menu, or by typing steam into the Windows search bar.If you’re not already signed in, you should do so before you continue.If you do not have Steam, check out How to Install Steam.
2Search for Rules of Survival. To do this, type rules of survival into the “search” bar at the top-right corner of the page, and then press ↵ Enter. A list of search results will appear.
3Click Rules of Survival in the search results. It should be the first result in the list.
4Click Add to Cart. It’s the green button below the gameplay preview. This adds the game to your shopping cart.
5Click Purchase for myself. It’s the first of the two green buttons below the estimated total.
6Select a payment method from the drop-down menu. The payment options may vary regionally. In the United States, you can pay with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, American Express, JCB, or by using PayPal.
7Enter your payment details and click Continue. If you selected a credit card, you’ll have to enter the details from the card, as well as billing information that matches your account.If you selected PayPal, click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions to process your payment through PayPal.
8Click Purchase to confirm your payment. Once your payment is processed, you’ll see a confirmation screen and the game will be saved to your Library.
9Click the LIBRARY tab. It’s near the top-left corner of the app.
10Click Rules of Survival in the left panel. You’ll find it under the “GAMES” header.
11Click INSTALL and follow the on-screen instructions. The button is at the top of the page below the game’s title.Before the installation begins, you’ll have to select your preferences, such as whether you want to add Rules of Survival to your Start menu and/or desktop.Once the installation is complete, you can start playing the game in Steam.
